Information on our nurse managers, nursing careers at the Alfred ICU and professional development for nurses.

The nursing team is managed by Julie Willmott (ICU Nurse Manager) and assisted by Nicole Lukauskas (Clinical Nurse Manager - Operations) and Sharon Hade (Clinical Nurse Manager - Quality and Risk) .

Clinical Nurse Manager : Hyperbaric /ICU

In ICU there are  associate charge nurses, team leaders,  clinical nurse educators, 3 patient access nurses and 1 Equipment nurse. The Clinical Nurse Educators provide ongoing support and education to all staff seven days a week between the hours of 0730hrs and 2100hrs. In total, the unit employs approximately 300 nurses, excluding nurse bank.

Our ICU has 3 clinical pods; Cardiothoracic, Burns/General and Trauma, each offering you support and the ability to develop a range of skills and experience.

Our educational partnership for post graduate studies is with LaTrobe University. We offer structured training and opportunities to complete post-grad studies, you'll rise to the most varied and challenging cases.
