The ANZICS (Australian New Zealand Intensive Care Society) CORE (Centre for Outcome and Resource Evaluation) report for 1/7/11 to 30/6/12 has just been released and shows the excellent clinical outcomes for patients at The Alfred's ICU.

The following graphs show the Alfred ICU's standardised mortality ratio compared to that of other tertiary referral ICUs in Australia, the improvement in SMR for Australia/NZ over the last few years and the even greater improvement in SMR for the Alfred's ICU over that period of time. There is also a funnel plot graphically depicting the Alfred outcome compared to that for all other tertiary referral centres in Australia /New Zealand.

The staff at The Alfred ICU are proud to have achieved such great clinical outcomes.
