Each year The Alfred  acknowledges International Nurses Day by celebrating nurses week.  The Patient Centred Care Nurses Awards is a way of rewarding and recognising nurses from The Alfred by presenting two individual and two team awards to staff who demonstrate they excel in the provision of patient centred care. The quality and number of nominations this year was outstanding. There were 15 nominations across the two categories, from 10 different areas.

One of the 2 Alfred Nurses League Awards went to the  ICU Behaviours of Concern Team

This is recognition for the hard work that has resulted in the development of strategies to manage this difficult group of patients.

This is the second year in a row that The Alfred ICU nurses win a Nurses League Award for excellence in patient centred care.  In 2013, it was won by the ICU long term primary care team.
