The Alfred ICU is a state-of-the-art facility, that provides a wide range of organ support modalities for critically ill patients.
We are a busy quaternary teaching unit and work collaboratively with a number of specialist services, including:
• Anaesthesiology and perioperative medicine
• Burns
• Extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and Ventricular assist device (VAD)
• Heart failure and transplant
• HIV
• Infectious diseases – in addition to HIV
• Surgery
• Trauma
