Congratulations to the winners of 2023 Recognising Excellence Awards

15 December 2023

The Alfred celebrated the great work of our colleagues across the organisation with the annual Recognising Excellence Awards on Wednesday 22 November.

Held at the St Kilda Town Hall, the event highlighted the achievements of individuals and teams across nine different categories.

Chief Operating Officer Simone Alexander said the awards were an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our colleagues over the past year.

“Events such as this – where we shine a light on Alfred Health’s dedicated staff – are essential to highlight the exemplary work ethic of our staff in supporting patient care, while striving for excellence in everything that we do,” said Simone. “Alfred Health has a lot to be proud of, the positive difference you have on the lives of your patients, your colleagues, and your community is nothing short of extraordinary.”

Dr Josh Ihle, Clinical Lead of The Alfred ICU Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) Team, is proud of his team’s achievement. He said, "The Patient Outcome Award and great patient outcomes, are only made possible because of the whole ECLS Team working together, for the same cause”.
